***** Imagination Running Free         Review by: Rox Burkey

WJ Scott created a fun way to engage children in the world of imagination. Children have a wonderful trait of thinking out of the box because they simply have not learned all the boundaries. Of course that can be a good thing or a bad thing. This is where the parenting thing comes into play.

Parents and grandparents often struggle with activities for children that are more fun than work. This is the tool, Author Scott delivers.

Since getting this book I have used variations with children on virtual connections. It has been successful.

A fun activity is the snowman getting painted black just before the judging. Oh, my goodness, what are the possibilities.

I know it is geared to smaller children, but I find it fun. We should never let our imagination become so stagnant that we forget to have fun. Note to self: if the parent is having fun won’t the child spot it and be more engaged?

The one prompt that really struck a chord for me, the memory jar. For this idea alone and the long-term fun you can have with it, get this today.

Cultivating imagination is like planting a garden. You plant the seeds, add encouragement, and enjoy the results. I highly recommend this for parents, grandparents, and teachers too!
