Mischief in the Mushroom Patch – Book 1

Just in time for this summer or anytime! Author Amanda M. Thrasher creates a delightful story of three young fairies, or fairlings, who push the boundaries of Mushroom Colony rules to the breaking point. Lilly and Boris are entertaining characters with child traits of adventure, exploration, and naughty behaviors.

The story shares how words paint pictures in a reader’s mind. The descriptions of the characters keep even the youngest reader engaged. Lilly has a big heart and rushes to the rescue of Boris when he falls, breaking his leg. The bond between these fairlings solidifies when Lilly and Boris are sentenced, by Mademoiselle Francesca, to time in the fairy dust factory for wasting the precious magic. They decide to glean as much as possible from the dust fairies. The two youngsters learn the ropes and work together, strengthening their relationship as young often do to take into their adult lives.

The lessons are subtle and yet perfect for children of all ages. You’ll find a whole new view on measuring twice cut once. The reading is easy, with chapter sizes perfect for a bedtime read or that car ride. These mischievous, endearing fairies will make your reader chuckle, flip the pages to read more, and are ideal for rereading. Thank you, Author Thrasher, for making a delightful series with this book a perfect start. I added the rest to my to-be-read list. I bet you will, too—a five-star keeper of young fun.
