***** Emotional Turmoil Start to Finish Review by Rox Burkey
Kelly Marshall is a skilled storyteller who presents her stories in a straightforward and fast-paced manner. In the 19th book of the Magnolia Bluff Crime Chronicles, Bye Baby Bye, the intensity and sadness are heightened from the very beginning when Jackson’s baby is taken from her crib in the middle of the night. Her father, a former Texas Ranger, and she were asleep in the adjoining room, completely unaware of the kidnapper’s actions. Jackson believes that the man who raped her is responsible for stealing her baby, but can she prove it?
Madison is determined to do whatever it takes to bring her beloved daughter home. The authorities from Magnolia Bluff, FBI, Texas Ranger, and other agencies have joined forces to investigate how an evil man, who is currently locked away in maximum security in Colorado, managed to abduct her baby. Although this man may have fathered the child, he has no legal claim to her in the eyes of Jackson, the child’s rightful parent.
The plan agreed upon to retrieve the baby encounters obstacles that are impossible to overcome. As a result, Madison takes it upon herself to cross into Mexico and steal back her child. However, she had no idea about the emotional cost of her decision. The interactions between the characters throughout the story keep the tension on an upward, irrevocable trajectory. It is a well-known fact that mothers do not give up their babies without a fight.
Ms. Marshall has done a fantastic job delivering a captivating sequel to her first story, Justice, book 8 of Magnolia Bluff Crime Chronicles. Bye Baby Bye is filled with fast-paced action scenes, gripping suspense, and an unforgettable mystery with a touch of romance. The Magnolia Bluff Crime Chronicle fans will surely enjoy this standalone nail-biting story. However, reading it in line with the rest of the series will keep readers on the edge of their seats and craving more. The Underground Authors, the series’ creators, continue to provide stories no one should miss. Congratulations to Kelly Marshall for this excellent work. What can we expect from her in the future?
About the Author
I always knew communication would dominate my life. I thought it would be as a writer, and I hoped to pen best-selling novels. But life took a left turn. Instead, I ended up at a broadcasting school In Colorado, then spent the next thirty years playing music, interviewing interesting people, and doing love song dedications. Although the experience was intense, it didn’t seem like work. I had a ball. After thirty years, I walked away from the microphone and decided to follow my first love…writing.
